I am an independent multimedia artist who has been connected with digital culture for over twenty-five years. My background is in graphic and interactive design, and today I create original projects that bring together visual art, photography, music, and narrative. My work often moves between reality and fiction, documentation and creation, analogue experience and digital transformation. I work independently, developing my own concepts, worlds, and forms of expression that do not always fit neatly within the boundaries of a single discipline.
From an early age I gravitated toward both art and technology. At the turn of the century I taught myself web design while roaming the primordial internet, later sharpening my eye for composition at the High School of Arts, where I graduated in 2003 with a diploma in visual design and photography. During this period, I collaborated with the comic book magazines "AQQ" and "Produkt", publishing my works and co-creating covers as a colorist - among others for the "Komixorama" supplement and the special issue of "P-Lux". As part of the "Design Made in Poland" project, I co-created "Pergamina", a series of online art albums showcasing the work of Polish artists, many of whom later gained widespread recognition.
After a few years of studying graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts I left to pursue a professional path in London. I worked through the golden age of Flash and the early days of UX and UI, collaborating with acclaimed agencies and contributing to projects for well known brands. My work was featured in publications such as the British web design magazine “.net” and I received several industry awards over the years. Following more than a decade in interactive design I founded "SYROP", an independent studio focused on visual identity and concept development for production companies and advertising directors worldwide.
With the emergence of generative artificial intelligence, I re-embraced visual art, finding a renewed creative energy and new possibilities for constructing images. I treat generative tools as instruments within a deliberate, carefully curated creative process, rather than as a form of simple automation or a substitute for artistic vision. Generated forms, variations, and unexpected associations may serve as starting points, but the final character of each work emerges through my selection, transformation, composition, and the meanings I introduce as the author. I am not interested in reproducing ready-made results, but in turning dispersed inspirations into a new and coherent visual reality. My works bring together past and future, realism and abstraction, technology and personal sensitivity, creating images layered with hidden meanings.
One of the areas of my current artistic practice is music created under the moniker "OTHLVN" – a project in which I am responsible for production, sound programming, visual direction, and original lyrics. The whole project is rooted in a futuristic aesthetic of electronic music, art pop, and cyberwave in a Polish-language form. Sound is another form of my expression made possible by the new technological wave. It is in music that I make the most extensive use of synthetic processes and generative tools, treating them as part of my own production practice and as a means of realizing a precisely defined artistic vision.
The other is photography, a passion present in my life continuously since purchasing my first digital camera in 2002. While travelling, I document urban environments, street life, and people observed within their surroundings, often in a restrained neo-noir aesthetic. I currently shoot with a Fujifilm X100VI, which is my preferred tool for capturing reality. The photographs I publish on my X100 Photo blog are captured directly by me in the real world without the use of synthetic processes.
Throughout my professional career as a designer I had the opportunity to work with the following clients: Adidas, Audi, Bacardi, Bakoma, BBC, Camelot, Cream, Danone, DOZ, Electronic Arts, Eurostar, FilmIt, Ford, Future Publishing, Go East, Hennessy, Heyah, Kraft Foods, Lemonfilm, Moët & Chandon, Mobil1, MTV, Panasonic, P&G, Point of you, Pracuj.pl, Red Bull, RWE, Škoda, Sony, Tiger, Toyota, Volkswagen, WBK Bank, Wedel, Wrigley and others.
OTHLVN (pron. Otchłań) is an independent Polish electronic duo that I create together with MΔRΔ. I make the music, lyrics and production, while she is the synthetic voice and face of the band.
X100.photo is my photography journal where I document urban scenes and people in their natural context. A recording of reality currently shot with Fujifilm X100S/VI cameras.
